Measure

A citation rate you can defend, not a score you have to believe

We ask the assistants your customers' questions, several times each, and report the share of answers that name you — with the interval that sample size honestly supports, per platform and per market.

Why it matters

Why a single answer is not a measurement

Assistants contradict themselves

In our published audit one platform gave a different citation on around 40% of repeated identical questions. Ask once and you are reading the platform's mood, not your visibility.

The question set decides the number

The same store, the same week, measured 59.5% cited on a category question list and 40.5% on its own Search Console queries. A tool that picks the questions for you is choosing your score.

Rank is the wrong unit

An answer engine does not rank ten links; it names two or three sources inside a paragraph. What you need is the share of answers that name you, and how wide the uncertainty around that share is.

How it works

From a domain to a number with a range

  1. 01

    Questions in your customers' words

Twelve to sixty buying questions per market, written natively in the language — or, for the own-question measurement, drawn from your Search Console with brand terms removed.

  2. 02

    Every question, every platform, repeated

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity, each question asked two or three times. We record who is cited, the full answer, and the source pages.

  3. 03

    A rate with a 95% interval

Per platform and per market: the share of answers citing you, drawn on a track with its interval. Wide band, volatile platform. Two bands that overlap are not a gap, and the report says so.

  4. 04

Share of voice and the questions you lose

Every domain cited across the answer pool, ranked, with your position; the worst-performing questions first; every observation exportable.

What it does

What the report contains

Citation rate per platform

Five assistants, each with its own rate and interval, because they do not behave alike — the audit found one citing on nine answers in ten and another on one in three.

Per-market results

Up to three of six markets — English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch — with questions written in each language, not translated.

Who is cited instead

The competitors and publishers named when you are not, ranked by frequency. The list your next quarter of pages comes from.

The sources the assistants read

The URLs behind every answer. Getting onto those pages, or replacing them, is what moves the rate.

Change detection across runs

Monthly re-measurement judged by a two-sided Fisher exact test at the sample size you actually have. No trend line through noise.

Everything exportable

One CSV row per question, platform and repeat, and a client-ready print layout. Nothing behind the figure is hidden from you.

Method and data are open: the measurement study · the audit · the provenance study.

Questions

Asked before buying

How many questions does a first measurement ask?
The free run asks a category question set per market on all five platforms with two repeats. The own-question measurement (€29, one-off) replaces the category list with eight to twelve of your own questions and adds a page brief for each one you lost.
Why an interval instead of an accuracy figure?
Because the interval is the honest description of a sample. At 144 answers the smallest change this product can detect is about six points; a tool that shows you a two-point move on fewer answers is showing you noise, and we would rather say so than draw the line.
Is this the consumer app or the API?
The provider APIs, which are not identical to the consumer apps. The report says this on every page. Where an API has no equivalent — Google AI Overviews — the answers come from live search results.
Can I keep re-measuring?
Yes. The report link is permanent and the Standard plan re-measures monthly or fortnightly with three tracked competitors. Prices are on the pricing section.
